You can access document files and folders from your desktop instead of accessing through the web. To do this, you will need to sync the SharePoint site.
NOTE:
- You must have OneDrive running in the background (this can be done if you see a blue cloud icon in the task bar)
- You must have access to the SharePoint documents
- You must remove the shortcut that is added in OneDrive otherwise the sync will fail
To sync the SharePoint site, follow these steps:
- Go to the SharePoint site you want to sync
- On the top, click on Sync
- If you're on Chrome, this pop will appear. Click on Open Microsoft OneDrive
- A window will appear briefly then disappear. If the sync was a success, you should see this message pop up on the bottom right
- Open the file explorer. On the left, under Wiley X, Inc click on the arrow to the left and you should see the documents synced to your desktop. Example:
