How to Remove SharePoint Shortcuts

Shortcuts to SharePoint repositories can prevent documents from syncing to your computer. To remove these shortcuts, there are two ways to do it: through the file explorer or through the web.


File Explorer Method:

  1. Navigate to your personal OneDrive
  2. Right-click the shortcut and select remove shortcut. The shortcut is denoted by a chain symbol on the folder icon


OneDrive Online Method:

  1. Navigate to your personal OneDrive on the web
  2. Select the shortcut and click Remove
